Key Responsibilities

  • •Review SRHR-relevant health service packages and strategic plans, including scope, target populations, and delivery modalities.
  • •Identify and review country data on unit costs, facility inputs, human resource costs, commodity prices, and overhead costs.
  • •Adapt and populate the SRHR costing tool with country-specific unit costs, service utilization, coverage targets, demographic data, and health system parameters, then run the tool to estimate service and package costs.
  • •Conduct sensitivity analyses on key assumptions and data quality limitations; facilitate a workshop to validate preliminary results and assumptions.
  • •Prepare deliverables including inception, country costing report, annotated costing tool, stakeholder dissemination slide deck, and a policy brief with actionable recommendations.

Pay and Benefits

Salary: USD 8,500 monthly

Key Requirements

  • •Advanced master’s degree in health economics, public health, health policy or planning, or a related field.
  • •Minimum seven years of professional experience in health systems, health economics, or health financing in low- and middle-income country (LMIC) settings.
  • •Hands-on experience with health intervention costing methodologies and with costing/analysis of health benefit packages or essential health service package design.
  • •Proven experience in health benefit package analysis, including evidence requirements and policy processes for EHSP/HBP review.
  • •Excellent English (written and spoken); working knowledge of French and/or Portuguese is desirable.
