Key Responsibilities

  • •Own end-to-end design of native Android experiences from discovery through to shipped, measured, and iterated products.
  • •Apply deep Android platform craft, covering Material 3, theming, navigation, layouts, dark theme, notifications, widgets, and Play Store entry surfaces.
  • •Design for the Android ecosystem across densities and screen sizes, including adaptive layouts for tablets, large screens and foldables, with strong perceived speed and performance.
  • •Create and champion reusable patterns and components, deciding when to use the design system versus extending it, and maintain coherence with iOS design where needed.
  • •Collaborate with Android engineers and teams to translate design into Compose-friendly structures, prototype early (Figma/code/AI-assisted tools), and validate choices using research.

Key Requirements

  • •Significant experience designing and shipping native Android products, with a portfolio showing real platform craft.

  • •Ability to design for Android fragmentation, including adaptive layouts, accessibility settings, and varied hardware performance.
