Job Summary

Build and 3D-model electrical systems for transportation infrastructure projects shaping the GTA and Southwestern Ontario. Create BIM deliverables for power distribution, lighting, conduit runs, grounding, lightning protection, and fire alarm systems, and support engineers with calculations, equipment selection, and lighting-control integration. Follow GTA M&E digital standards, mentor Revit-based BIM teams, coordinate with offshore BIM/design support in India, and help develop automated tools using Revit, ACC, Dynamo, and Navisworks.

Key Responsibilities

•Design and 3D-model electrical systems including power distribution, circuiting, conduit runs, grounding, lightning protection, lighting systems, fixture selection, lighting controls, and fire alarm systems.
•Support electrical engineers and lighting designers with system calculations, equipment selection, and lighting-control integration.
•Follow GTA M&E digital standards and automation procedures to ensure quality and consistency.
•Mentor, guide, and support Revit-based BIM teams to elevate digital delivery capabilities and support corporate BIM standards, workflows, and production.
•Coordinate with the offshore BIM/design team in India, assist with project setup, and collaborate on advanced digital tools for more automated and efficient modeling operations.

Pay and Benefits

Salary: CAD 81,900 - 118,900 annually

Key Requirements

•10+ years of hands-on experience in Electrical and Lighting design using CAD and advanced BIM 3D Revit modeling in a consulting office.
•Proficiency in Revit 3D modeling, Autodesk Construction Cloud (ACC), and BIM add-ins; Autodesk Revit Certification is considered an asset.
•Experience supporting regional or national BIM standards and contributing to design automation initiatives.
•Knowledge of Navisworks and Dynamo scripting to optimize workflows.
•Familiarity with AutoCAD, Civil 3D, and Bentley MicroStation; organized and able to perform under project-delivery pressures.
