Key Responsibilities

  • •Perform scheduled preventative maintenance and DOT inspections, including follow-up repairs on light, medium, and heavy-duty vehicles in a mobile/field environment.
  • •Diagnose, adjust, and repair electrical, brake/cooling, starters/alternators, fan clutches, engine electronics, diesel steering, engines, transmissions, clutches, and differentials.
  • •Inspect, test, and listen to defective equipment; perform road tests to confirm malfunctions and proper operation.
  • •Maintain and operate the company-issued service vehicle and perform daily pre-/post-trip safety checks, while working in compliance with OSHA, EPA, and DOT regulations.
  • •Document work and findings on Repair Orders, upload job photos using the company-issued iOS device and TRAIT application, and complete DOT and other forms accurately and on time.

Key Requirements

  • •High School Diploma/GED and 3 years’ experience in a related field (or an equivalent combination such as additional certification/education or 5 years’ related experience).
  • •At least 3 years of experience with refrigerated equipment.
  • •Possess and supply the set of hand tools necessary to perform required job duties.
  • •Pass a DOT-regulated pre-employment background screening and DOT physical prior to employment (or submit a valid DOT medical card with more than 4 months remaining).
  • •Due to interstate operating authority commerce regulations, be at least 21 years or older; hold a valid state-of-residence driver’s license and maintain a Driver Qualification File.
