Job Function: Software Engineering

Key Responsibilities

•Build systems that accelerate 300 engineers (merge queues, dev deploys, CI/CD, Smart Reviewer, stack tooling) and own the blast radius when slowdowns occur
•Lead end-to-end incidents: diagnose root causes (e.g., DB serialization failures, Redis latency spikes, Temporal timeouts), fix, postmortem, and prevent recurrence
•Design golden paths for services (API, DB migrations, Kafka, Temporal, secrets) to enable infrastructure spin-up without reinventing wheels
•Own the full dev tooling surface (Devportal, Graphite, Buildkite, Inspect, dev deploys, LaunchDarkly, Datadog) and understand their interactions under pressure
•Treat the SDLC as a factory: measure PR throughput, end-to-end CI/CD time, and defect rates; implement bottleneck fixes

•Experience with developer tooling surfaces (e.g., Buildkite, Devportal, Datadog) and how they interact under pressure
•Comfort measuring SDLC metrics (PR throughput, end-to-end CI/CD time, defect rates) and driving bottleneck fixes
