Key Responsibilities

  • •Oversee input, peer review, verification of geotechnical data and analyses, and geotechnical design calculations.
  • •Provide consultative advice to external partners across the project lifecycle, including site-selection and optioneering, design, and construction.
  • •Manage or oversee geotechnical projects by planning and developing schedules, coordinating activities, and meeting programme and budget objectives.
  • •Lead and support the Ground Engineering team to deliver projects to time and quality expectations, collaborating across Ground Engineering and Tunnelling and related teams.
  • •Maintain industry presence by building relationships with customers and taking the lead for delivery of multi-disciplinary projects; mentor and develop junior team members.

Key Requirements

  • •A degree in Civil Engineering or Engineering Geology/Geology (2:1 or equivalent) or higher.
  • •MSc/MEng in Soil Mechanics, Geotechnical Engineering or Engineering Geology (advantageous).
  • •Chartered status.
  • •Strong knowledge of UK ground conditions and ground investigation practices.
  • •Demonstrable understanding of geotechnical design codes, standards, and best practices, plus ability to collaborate with project delivery and stakeholders.
