Key Responsibilities

•Maintain active communication during engagements to manage expectations, ensure satisfaction, and meet deadlines.
•Support M&A tax due diligence (buy-side and sell-side), including advising on tax-efficient acquisitions, divestments, and restructurings.
•Assist with state tax exposure remediation projects and/or implementation of state and local tax internal controls related to transactions.
•Research tax issues and prepare succinct, deal-driven written communications, including responses to tax authorities and client strategy on transaction tax aspects.
•Perform analysis of client tax attributes for business events, including asset/stock tax basis, transaction cost tax accounting, and NOL/tax credit limitations under IRC Section 382.

Pay and Benefits

Salary: USD 126,500 - 161,288 annually

Key Requirements

•Bachelor’s degree required; accounting degree preferred (or relevant transaction tax experience or an active attorney license).
•2–5 years of progressive state tax consulting and/or compliance experience in public accounting (or a combination of corporate and public accounting).
•1–3 years of qualified Mergers and Acquisitions tax services and/or due diligence experience.
•CPA or JD/active law license preferred.
•Proficiency with US GAAP and tax compliance for corporate consolidated, consolidated state, partnership, and combined state returns, with strong spreadsheet modeling skills.
