Key Responsibilities

  • •Underwrite new-money loans to new borrowers using underwriting criteria and provide loan decisions and/or credit recommendations.
  • •Collaborate with relationship managers to review, model, and structure loan terms that meet customer needs and align with risk appetite.
  • •Order, obtain, and verify due diligence information required for credit approval documentation and changes in terms.
  • •Ensure adherence to SBA credit and eligibility policies, compliance with government regulations, and SBA guaranty requirements.
  • •Coordinate the closing, funding, booking, and post-closing process, including underwriting deal amendments and restructurings; may provide leadership to junior underwriters or program participants.

Pay and Benefits

Salary: USD 82,100 - 172,500 annually

Key Requirements

  • •College degree in accounting, finance, or economics (or equivalent industry experience).
  • •7 years total work experience, including 3 to 5 years of underwriting, credit, or originations experience (preferably in banking or investment banking).
  • •Thorough working knowledge of SBA SOP 50-10-8 and other SBA program guides.
  • •Excellent knowledge of SBA lending systems including B2B, CCAS, nCino, AFS, appraisal systems, and CLAS/LaserPro (or equivalent vendor systems).
  • •Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook, and Internet Explorer; advanced Excel skills are a plus, with strong written/verbal communication and attention to detail.
