Key Responsibilities

  • •Utilize scientific principles and existing technologies to develop solutions for geotechnical technical problems with limited scope.
  • •Assist with monitoring geotechnical field activities to ensure compliance with project requirements and apply geotechnical assessment and interpretation.
  • •Liaise with geotechnical contractors to ensure project delivery meets client expectations and deadlines.
  • •Ensure the correctness and completeness of deliverables (reports, drawings, etc.) and consistency with field conditions and specifications.
  • •Assist in preparation of contractual correspondence and perform other duties associated with the geotechnical position as appropriate.

Key Requirements

  • •Minimum of 4 years’ experience in geotechnical investigation and design work post-undergraduate degree.
  • •BSc degree in Geotechnical engineering (Hons advantageous).
  • •Excellent knowledge of development and implementation of geotechnical investigations.
  • •On the way to registration with ECSA as a Professional Engineer.
  • •Demonstrable understanding of geotechnical design codes/standards (Eurocodes desirable) and experience with settlement analysis, retaining walls, shallow/deep foundations, earthworks, and slope design.
