Job Summary

Provide technical support across pre-contract and project delivery teams for the design, construction, and operation of power generation and desalination plants. Lead detailed mechanical design work including specifications, datasheets, and design drawings, and support tender evaluation and due diligence reporting. Coordinate engineering disciplines, review calculations and contractor/vendor submissions, monitor construction progress, and participate in factory acceptance tests and project meetings.

Key Responsibilities

•Assist the GCC group team leader with planning and allocating team resources and tasks.
•Provide technical support to pre-contract and project delivery teams for design, construction, and operation of power and desalination plants.
•Conduct detailed design for power and water projects using performance modelling software packages.
•Perform technical evaluation of tender submissions and prepare related reports, including due diligence and operation reports.
•Prepare and review technical specifications, design drawings, calculations, and contractor/vendor submissions; monitor construction progress and attend meetings and factory acceptance tests.

Key Requirements

•Graduate mechanical engineer with a minimum of 10 years of relevant experience.
•Experience designing power and water projects in a design office setting.
•Thermodynamic power plant cycle analysis experience, including power plant systems and equipment.
•Knowledge of pre- and post-treatment processes for desalination plants and experience with large desalination and power plants projects (preferably across the Middle East).
•Proficiency in selecting mechanical/BOP equipment and preparing technical specifications, with good computer skills and communication ability.
