Job Summary

Legal Counsel supporting Mastercard’s Consumer Products & Processing in the Asia Pacific region. Partners with Product, Sales, Compliance and Regulatory Affairs to advise on financial services products, licensing and regulatory requirements, draft and negotiate distribution and customer agreements, manage external counsel, and provide timely, commercial legal guidance to enable product development and market expansion.

Key Responsibilities

•Participate as a key member of the Asia Pacific legal team supporting Consumer Solutions & Processing products and services.
•Provide regulatory guidance and contract support to ensure compliance with financial services laws, privacy, and licensing requirements across markets in Asia Pacific.
•Draft, review and negotiate distribution agreements, customer agreements and agreements with third party issuers, suppliers and strategic partners.
•Advise on product development, marketing materials, and tender/RFP responses to align with legal and regulatory requirements.
•Coordinate with external counsel to ensure efficient, high-quality, and cost-effective legal services and keep stakeholders informed of legislative developments.

Key Requirements

•Bachelor of Laws or equivalent with current Australian practicing certificate.
