•Capital Management: Identify initiatives and develop products that are regulatory compliant and enhance ROE profitability through risk distribution.
•Stakeholder Management: Collaborate with Finance, Compliance, Legal, Risk, Treasury, Planning and business lines to ensure profitability improvements are clearly articulated and aligned with group initiatives.
•Regulatory Relationships: Represent SMBC EMEA in internal regulatory groups and, where appropriate, with external bodies to focus on improving regulatory capital treatments.
•Portfolio analysis: Support marketing teams with profitability analysis, deal structuring for capital use optimization, and provide external benchmarks and analysis.
•Governance and assurance: Ensure adherence to the Group’s product development and procedures frameworks and drive continual improvement of product manuals for capital treatment on risk distribution products.
