Key Responsibilities

  • •Design, develop, and ship high-quality features for Box desktop applications on Windows and macOS
  • •Work across the full desktop stack (virtual file systems, persistence, OS integrations, network/sync layers, and UI) to solve complex problems
  • •Contribute to cross-platform development using React Native bridging front-end and native desktop experiences
  • •Collaborate daily with Product Managers, QA, and designers to translate requirements into robust, well-tested software
  • •Diagnose and resolve performance, reliability, and compatibility issues and participate in architecture/code reviews and on-call rotation

Key Requirements

  • •5+ years of professional desktop software development experience
  • •Proficiency in C++, C#, and/or Swift with software design and architecture principles
  • •Experience building and shipping desktop applications on Windows and/or macOS
  • •Comfort working across the desktop stack including virtual file systems, OS integrations, networking, sync, and UI
  • •Proficiency in unit testing and functional testing in an agile team environment
