Job Summary

Lead Carvana’s Inspection Center to deliver quality, production, and cost objectives in a lean manufacturing environment. You’ll provide strategic leadership for up to 500 associates across multiple shifts, oversee production planning and performance reviews, ensure execution of operating standards (including 5S and visual management), and drive continuous improvement. Partner with recruiting, mentor reconditioning managers, and maintain safety and loss-prevention compliance while modeling the Carvana culture.

Key Responsibilities

•Provide strategic vision and leadership to ensure the inspection center meets current and future demands and stays aligned with Carvana culture.
•Lead production planning, capacity management, and weekly performance review meetings, and drive resolution of issues impacting performance.
•Ensure standardized work, operating rules, 5S, and visual management tools are consistently executed.
•Participate in hiring and build talent pipelines and candidate benches for leadership positions, including training and certification progression.
•Lead and participate in continuous improvement events; mentor reconditioning managers on problem-solving.

Key Requirements

•Minimum 8 years of management experience in automotive or a lean manufacturing environment leading multiple work groups.
•Knowledge of lean manufacturing principles and proven track record of leading and developing associates.
•Ability to obtain project deliverables and company metrics.
•Ability to work a flexible schedule and manage in a fast-paced production environment sometimes exposed to excessive weather conditions.
•Valid unrestricted driver’s license with a clean driving record in the last 3 years, plus required English and age qualifications.
