Key Responsibilities

  • •Develop and implement materials engineering policies, standards, specifications, and procedures for municipal transportation and storm water projects.
  • •Serve as the SME for pavement and storm water materials, advising on selection, life-cycle performance, sustainability, and resilience requirements.
  • •Establish and maintain QA/QC frameworks, laboratory testing requirements, inspection procedures, and audit compliance across contractors and testing labs.
  • •Provide materials engineering support through planning, design, procurement, construction, and asset handover, including review and approval of materials submittals and documentation.
  • •Lead materials engineering people management and drive research and innovation in sustainable, recycled, and low-carbon construction materials.

Key Requirements

  • •Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering, Materials Engineering, Construction Engineering, or a related discipline.
  • •Minimum 12-15 years of progressive experience in materials engineering.
  • •Minimum 5 years in a senior or leadership capacity.
  • •Extensive experience across municipal roads, highways, transportation infrastructure, and storm water drainage projects.
  • •Experience managing material approvals, laboratory testing programs, quality systems, and engineering compliance (including government/municipality/infrastructure authorities).
