Key Responsibilities

  • •Provide technical logistics and data center support for enterprise network and security equipment from receiving and staging through installation, activation, maintenance, replacement, and disposition.
  • •Validate incoming hardware and deployment requirements, including readiness, completeness, damage checks, configuration packets, and chain-of-custody/asset records.
  • •Perform rack-and-stack installation and validation of routers, switches, firewalls, F5 platforms, and other infrastructure; verify power, cabling, connectivity, remote management access, and post-install checks.
  • •Execute activation readiness validation including IP/VLAN assignments, management connectivity, routing prerequisites, connectivity testing, acceptance steps, and support scheduled maintenance windows.
  • •Provide Tier IV troubleshooting for hardware and infrastructure issues (cabling, power, optics, connectivity, routing, firewall, load-balancing, data center); maintain SOPs/runbooks and perform root-cause analysis with recommendations.

Key Requirements

  • •Bachelor's degree with 5–8 years (or commensurate) experience supporting enterprise network hardware installation, activation, maintenance, lifecycle, or data center infrastructure.
  • •Thorough understanding of the OSI model and core networking fundamentals including Ethernet, TCP/IP, IP addressing, VLANs, routing, switching, and network interfaces.
  • •Experience installing, rack-mounting, cabling, labeling, validating, troubleshooting, and replacing network and security equipment in production environments.
  • •Hands-on experience with enterprise network technologies such as Palo Alto firewalls and F5 load balancing/application delivery platforms, plus routing/switching and related network edge platforms.
  • •Ability to analyze packet captures using Wireshark (or comparable tools) and to develop/execute installation, validation, testing, maintenance, and back-out procedures with clear technical documentation.
