Key Responsibilities

  • •Develop and execute a comprehensive fundraising strategy for India in collaboration with the Head of Partnerships & Fundraising.
  • •Identify and prioritize new donor segments, partnerships, and funding opportunities.
  • •Build and deepen relationships with existing donors through regular engagement and strategic reviews; ensure alignment between donor priorities and Khan Academy’s mission.
  • •Lead end-to-end fundraising efforts, including prospecting, pipeline development, and donor outreach; develop proposals and communication materials for foundations and individual donors.
  • •Partner with product, program, and finance teams to align fundraising efforts with organizational priorities and ensure timely donor reporting.

Key Requirements

  • •5–10 years of overall experience, with at least 4 years in a partnerships or fundraising role within nonprofits, foundations, or corporate CSR functions
  • •A demonstrable track record of securing and stewarding major gifts and large institutional grants, with the ability to translate organisational vision into compelling cases for support
  • •Strong project management instincts, with a bias toward execution over process
  • •Sharp attention to detail and exceptional written communication skills — with the ability to tailor tone, depth, and framing across audiences
  • •A Master’s degree in public policy, business administration, nonprofit management, or a related field
