Job Summary

Support thermal design, modeling, characterization, and validation of next-generation SoC, FPGA, ASIC, and high-performance computing products. Collaborate cross-functionally to develop thermal solutions, run die/package/board/system simulations, and execute thermal characterization and validation plans. Analyze thermal test data, correlate it with simulation models, and help design and optimize air-cooled and liquid-cooled solutions. Participate in design reviews, customer technical engagements, and maintain technical documentation.

Key Responsibilities

•Collaborate with program managers and multiple engineering teams to understand product requirements and drive thermal solutions across the development lifecycle.
•Perform die, package, board, and system-level thermal simulations to evaluate thermal performance and support cooling solution development.
•Develop and execute thermal characterization and validation plans for hardware platforms.
•Analyze thermal test data and correlate measurements with simulation models to improve model accuracy and predict performance.
•Support thermal design reviews and customer technical engagements, including recommendations to improve thermal performance and reliability.

Key Requirements

•Master's degree or PhD in Mechanical Engineering, Aerospace Engineering, or a related engineering discipline.
•Experience in thermal analysis, modeling, characterization, and testing of electronic systems, semiconductor packages, or computing hardware.
•Strong understanding of heat transfer fundamentals including conduction, convection, and radiation.
•Proficiency with CFD and thermal simulation tools such as Ansys Icepak, AEDT, FloTHERM, FloTHERM XT, or equivalent.
•Experience with thermal validation and laboratory testing techniques, including thermocouples, data acquisition systems, airflow measurements, and thermal chambers.
