Key Responsibilities

  • •Maintain mill machinery including pumps, conveyors, compressors, mechanical systems, rollers/chains, bearings, and hydraulic/pneumatic systems.
  • •Perform preventative, predictive, and reactive maintenance by inspecting equipment and investigating irregularities.
  • •Troubleshoot issues to improve equipment reliability and implement safe, reliable repairs that maximize production uptime.
  • •Identify and request relevant parts to complete repairs in a timely manner.
  • •Support a safe work environment through safe maintenance practices and accountability.

Key Requirements

  • •Strong troubleshooting skills to diagnose and resolve mechanical issues.
  • •Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • •Experience working in a manufacturing and/or industrial environment (plus: lumber manufacturing process knowledge).
  • •Basic electrical knowledge to troubleshoot and repair machinery components.
  • •Experience using a Computerized Maintenance Management System (CMMS) to schedule and document maintenance activities.
