Key Responsibilities

  • •Build solutions without clear precedent to solve problems with far-reaching impact across Stripe’s products.
  • •Work with a team to deliver software changes that contribute to production systems.
  • •Learn unfamiliar systems quickly and independently, using research and mentor support.
  • •Leverage AI tools to accelerate development while validating outputs with rigorous judgement.
  • •Collaborate on multi-person projects, including participating in code review and safe updates to large codebases.

Key Requirements

  • •A Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in computer science (or directly related field) obtained by summer 2027, or equivalent work experience; new grad candidates should have no more than 18 months of professional experience excluding internships.
  • •Experience with programming via side projects or classwork, working mostly in Java, Ruby, JavaScript, Scala, and Go.
  • •Experience from internships or collaborating on multi-person coding projects in a university or professional setting.
  • •Ability to learn unfamiliar systems through independent research and working with a mentor or subject matter experts.
  • •Clear written communication skills to explain work to stakeholders, team members, and other Stripes.
