Key Responsibilities

  • •Develop, maintain, and execute an integrated Indo-Pacific growth strategy by identifying priority customers, missions, locations, acquisition organizations, contract vehicles, competitors, and addressable opportunities.
  • •Build, qualify, and maintain a pipeline of strategic Indo-Pacific opportunities valued at $250M+ aligned to Akima’s growth priorities and financial objectives.
  • •Lead multiple concurrent priority captures from qualification through award and transition, including customer engagement, competitive assessment, acquisition shaping, teaming, pricing, and proposal execution.
  • •Identify enterprise-scale, cross-company opportunities and convene subject matter experts to integrate solutions, relationships, contract vehicles, and past performance into differentiated offerings and win strategies.
  • •Manage capture plans, resources, milestones, and approved budgets while collaborating across operations, technical, pricing, contracts, legal, recruiting, finance, and proposal teams; represent Akima at key events and stay current on national security strategy and acquisition trends.

Key Requirements

  • •10+ years of progressive Federal business development and capture experience, including significant DoD experience and deep knowledge of the Federal acquisition process, the FAR, contract vehicles, and customer buying behaviors.
  • •Proven success identifying, shaping, capturing, and winning large (>$250M), complex Federal pursuits using cross-functional teams, with recent relevant Indo-Pacific or adjacent national security wins preferred.
  • •Demonstrated experience developing and executing growth strategies and capture campaigns for US INDOPACOM (or components/related organizations), including strong relationships across the Indo-Pacific operational and acquisition ecosystem.
  • •Knowledge of Indo-Pacific force posture, distributed operations, contested logistics, installation/infrastructure needs, exercises and experimentation, coalition interoperability, and operations in remote/austere locations.
  • •Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field; advanced degree preferred. Active Secret clearance or ability to obtain/maintain a Secret clearance required.
