•Negotiate and manage contracts, leases, subleases, and use/operating agreements with hub airports and commercial landlords.
•Own a portfolio of leases and associated financial commitments to secure American’s footprint at hub airports and supporting facilities.
•Represent American’s interests during airport lease negotiations, including rate-making methodology, asset use requirements, and capital improvement plans.
•Collaborate with internal stakeholders (Network Planning, Finance, Operations, Customer Experience, Legal, Tech Ops, etc.) to ensure lease terms meet operational, financial, and commercial requirements.
•Analyze and model financial impacts of space and rate changes; anticipate user charge changes and mitigate cost pressures, including chairing Airline-Airport Affairs Committees.

Key Requirements

•Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field or equivalent experience/training.
•Seven years of experience in the airline industry, aviation, or similar roles.
•Knowledge of the administration and negotiation of hub lease agreements, including Airport-Airline Use and Lease Agreements.
•Advanced MS Excel and working knowledge of Microsoft Office (Word, Outlook, PowerPoint).
•Ability to manage multiple projects, shift priorities, meet deadlines, and coordinate cross-functional work with strong communication skills.
