Job Summary

Lead a portfolio of water and wastewater infrastructure projects end-to-end, from feasibility and reference designs through detailed design and construction support. Supervise and mentor civil engineers and project managers, driving risk mitigation, technical checking, and CDM-compliant delivery. Collaborate with programming specialists to monitor progress, manage project administration through NEC and/or FIDIC forms, and uphold health, safety, and environmental standards across bid to completion.

Key Responsibilities

•Manage a portfolio of water and wastewater projects against time, cost, and quality targets, correlating engineering data and flagging discrepancies.
•Supervise and direct project team members and coordinate resourcing with the management team, using decision-making authority to mitigate uncertainty.
•Drive leadership, health and safety, and environmental standards; ensure CDM compliance throughout design and construction and manage projects from bid to completion.
•Collaborate with programming specialists to build delivery programmes and monitor progress.
•Provide mentoring, guidance, and technical advice to support and supervise junior staff.

Key Requirements

•Civil Engineering degree (or equivalent).
•Working towards chartership.
•Experience leading the full project delivery cycle from inception to completion.
•Experience in technical checking and reviewing drawings and calculations.
•Experience managing elements of multi-disciplinary teams and preparing contract documentation using NEC and/or FIDIC forms.
