Key Responsibilities

  • •Perform scheduled preventative maintenance (PM), DOT inspections, and follow-up repairs on light, medium, and heavy-duty vehicles in a mobile/field environment.
  • •Diagnose, adjust, and repair mechanical/electrical systems including brake, cooling, starters/alternators, engine electronics, steering, transmissions, and more.
  • •Inspect, test, and evaluate defective equipment, including road testing vehicles to confirm proper operation.
  • •Independently manage parts inventory and equipment on the company service truck, including periodic reconciliation.
  • •Complete DOT forms and repair orders (including documentation and uploading work/pictures) and comply with safety and federal regulations (OSHA, EPA, DOT).

Key Requirements

  • •High School Diploma/GED and 3 years of related field experience (or an equivalent combination such as additional certification/degree or 5 years experience).
  • •Possess and supply a set of hand tools necessary to perform required job duties.
  • •Obtain Automotive Service Excellence (ASE) certification T8 (PMI) within eighteen (18) months.
  • •Pass DOT-regulated pre-employment background screening and DOT physical prior to employment (or submit a valid DOT medical card with sufficient remaining validity).
  • •21 years or older and hold a valid driver’s license; be able to obtain and maintain their Driver Qualification File.
