Key Responsibilities

•Partner with design teams to support design development, provide manufacturability feedback, and generate product data (drawings, BOM, part requirements) for composite assemblies to drive supplier quality.
•Leverage knowledge of composites, additive manufacturing, fabrication, special processes, mechanical sub-assembly, and inspection to support design, manage technical risks, and scale designs for production.
•Drive supplier quality development throughout product development with design reviews, supplier process development, testing, and qualification for components and sub-assemblies, ensuring alignment to mechanical requirements.
•Collaborate with development engineering, product quality engineering, sourcing engineering, category management, and program management to deliver predictable supplier performance and manage deviations in development phases.
•Lead supplier qualification activities (PPAP, FAIR, audits, inspection development) and analyze key characteristics to develop measurement systems and readiness for supplier qualification.

Key Requirements

•Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Materials Science, or a similar technical field.
•Experience with producing composite assemblies and manufacturing of mechanical sub-assemblies for aerospace.
•Experience scaling supplier capabilities and quality from prototype to high-rate production, including source inspections at aerospace/defense suppliers.
•Working knowledge of AS9100/ISO 9001-based Quality Management Systems; AS9100 Lead/Internal Auditor Certification is a plus.
•Experience performing First Article Inspection to AS9102 and ensuring control plans and inspection processes meet product requirements.
