Key Responsibilities

  • •Operate the vehicle according to applicable state and federal transportation laws.
  • •Transport loads safely and timely over required routes while following traffic laws and safety regulations.
  • •Maneuver truck and trailer into loading and unloading areas; follow loading crew signals.
  • •Assist with loading and unloading goods/materials using specialized equipment; return equipment to designated areas.
  • •Maintain required delivery documentation (invoices and bills of lading) and perform routine truck service checks; report maintenance issues to the Shipping Supervisor.

Key Requirements

  • •Hold a commercial driver’s license (Class A CDL) appropriate for the vehicle weight operated.
  • •Pass background and drug testing required by federal/state DOT regulations and pass a DOT physical.
  • •Be at least 21 years old to operate company vehicles.
  • •Safely transport loads by obeying traffic laws and safety regulations while staying focused in a busy environment.
  • •Lift and move up to 40 pounds and be able to sit for prolonged periods in a trailer cab; travel frequently.
