Key Responsibilities

•Provide independent challenge across complex transformation initiatives by testing assumptions, identifying execution and transition risks, and ensuring material issues are escalated and addressed in a timely manner.
•Act as a trusted strategic advisor to senior leaders across North America and Global Partners, providing insight on the risk implications of integration decisions related to strategy, operating model design, products, distribution, and go-to-market execution.
•Lead the harmonisation of risk practices following acquisition and integration activity, conducting gap analysis, setting priorities, and supporting transition plans that improve consistency and efficiency without disrupting customer outcomes or business performance.
•Provide leadership and direction to risk team members, fostering a culture of accountability, development, and high performance.
•Establish clear risk expectations during change by defining target-state governance, accountability, decision rights, ownership, and escalation pathways for key stakeholders across Travel Guard and North America.

Key Requirements

•10+ years of leadership experience in an insurance carrier, financial services organisation, or another highly regulated environment.
•Bachelor’s degree in Risk Management, Finance, Business, Law, or a related discipline; relevant professional qualifications highly regarded.
•Demonstrated experience managing risk through complex organisational change, transformation, and/or integration initiatives.
•Exceptional influencing and relationship-building skills, with the ability to engage and challenge executive leaders and cross-functional business partners.
•Strong knowledge of enterprise risk management and operational risk frameworks, with the ability to apply them pragmatically in a changing business environment.
