Key Responsibilities

  • •Lead and mentor a team of Bioinformatics Scientists, owning their growth and team standards.
  • •Own the research strategy behind new product development from scoping through execution with cross-functional stakeholders.
  • •Lead bioinformatics analysis for assay development and optimization, including troubleshooting and multi-omic approaches (methylation, fragmentomics/cfDNA-derived features) across short- and long-read sequencing.
  • •Improve analysis methods/pipelines for quality control, variant detection, modality-specific processing, and error suppression for deep targeted panels.
  • •Transition research prototypes into stable production workflows with production software engineering practices (version control, testing, CI/CD, containerization) and automate routine pipeline execution and reporting.

Key Requirements

  • •Ph.D. in Bioinformatics, Computational Biology, Computer Science, Mathematics, Engineering, Biostatistics, or a related field (M.S. with equivalent experience considered).
  • •7+ years in bioinformatics, including 3+ years leading scientists and partnering across functions.
  • •Deep expertise in next-generation sequencing analysis (hybrid-capture or amplicon-based target enrichment, sequencing QC, secondary analysis, variant calling).
  • •Experience with cell-free DNA sequencing and diagnostics-focused omics data, including multiomics exposure (e.g., methylation, fragmentomics).
  • •Strong Python and data analysis skills, including translating exploratory analysis into actionable recommendations.
