Job Summary

Lead the accounting workstream for Salesforce’s M&A activity, overseeing technical accounting, financial reporting, and integration efforts across global acquisitions. Manage consolidation, equity and stock compensation, intercompany transactions, and statutory reporting under US GAAP and IFRS. Partner with Corporate Development, Legal, Tax, and Finance to drive due diligence, deal structuring, and post-close integration with strong leadership and cross-functional collaboration.

Key Responsibilities

•Lead the evaluation and documentation of accounting implications for potential M&A transactions during due diligence, including business combinations and asset acquisitions.
•Perform and review complex technical analyses under US GAAP, IFRS and local standards related to equity/financing arrangements, purchase price allocations, goodwill and intangibles, foreign currency translation, consolidation, and fair value measurements.
•Oversee the preparation of accounting memos, supporting documentation, and audit workpapers for internal and external auditors, including US GAAP to statutory adjustments.
•Ensure compliance with US GAAP, IFRS, and SEC rules, and manage local accounting policy adherence across jurisdictions.
•Partner with Corporate Development and M&A Finance to assess financial risks, integration complexity, and key accounting considerations during diligence; evaluate historical financial statements and quality of earnings.

Key Requirements

•Bachelor’s degree (or equivalent) in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
•CA or CPA (or equivalent) required.
•12+ years of progressive accounting experience, including public accounting (Big 4 or national firm) and corporate accounting experience, 5+ years of managerial (including people management) experience, with extensive international experience.
•Strong technical accounting expertise in US GAAP and IFRS (and other local standards), including Business Combinations, Stock Compensation, Foreign Currency, Consolidation, and international tax considerations.
•Direct experience leading accounting due diligence and purchase accounting processes for complex transactions.
