Job Summary

Design, implement, and optimize global WAN connectivity with an emphasis on high availability, low latency, and reliability. Collaborate with telecom providers and ISPs on circuit provisioning and upgrades, and troubleshoot routing and security configurations including BGP, IPSec tunnels, MACsec, VXLAN, and EVPN. Monitor performance metrics, plan capacity growth, and support network modernization and cloud connectivity projects using AWS, Azure, and GCP.

Key Responsibilities

•Design, deploy, and maintain WAN networks using leased lines and dark fiber to achieve low latency and extremely high availability.
•Collaborate with telecom providers and ISPs to provision circuits, complete upgrades, and resolve issues.
•Configure, troubleshoot, and optimize security and routing protocols including IPSec Tunnels, MACsec, BGP, VXLAN, and EVPN.
•Monitor WAN performance (latency, packet loss, capacity utilization) and analyze traffic patterns to forecast growth and trigger upgrades or hardware refreshes.
•Implement redundancy, failover, QoS, traffic engineering, and provide Tier 3 support with root-cause analysis for WAN incidents.

Key Requirements

•Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, or Computer Engineering (Master’s preferred).
•6+ years of experience in WAN network engineering, Service Provider networks, or hyper-scale data center environments.
•Industry certifications such as CCIE or JNCIE, with strong knowledge of BGP and WAN technologies.
•Experience with major network vendors including Arista, Cisco, Juniper, or Palo Alto.
•Expertise with network automation and monitoring tools (Python, Ansible, Terraform; SolarWinds, Kentik, ThousandEyes) plus ability to participate in on-call rotation.
