Key Responsibilities

•Safely collect samples for testing of soils, aggregates, and asphalt materials.
•Set up, operate, and maintain nuclear density gauges for asphalt and soils compaction.
•Perform sampling, testing, reporting, and documentation procedures, recording test results accurately and on time.
•Maintain daily records and prepare daily reports, submitting results to the project lead technician or main lab supervisor.
•Perform asphalt coring operations and maintain daily housekeeping to keep the lab environment clean while following MSHA/OSHA requirements.

Key Requirements

•High school diploma or GED preferred.
•1–2 years of prior QC experience preferred.
•Ability to read and comprehend instructions, memos, and simple correspondence, and write simple correspondence.

•Preferred certifications include WAQTC; CAPA Level A and B certification required/needed.
