Job Summary

Lead security advocate for Mastercard's Data & AI programs, driving secure design and delivery of data-driven and AI-powered solutions. Partner with product, engineering, and operations teams to embed security controls across SDLC, lead governance for data analytics and AI initiatives, and push continuous security improvement through automation, threat modeling, and secure architectures in a global, cross-functional setting.

Key Responsibilities

•Serve as the primary security partner for Data Commercialization and AI programs, providing risk guidance from discovery through deployment and advising product, engineering, and operations teams on secure design and delivery.
•Translate security policies, standards, and controls into actionable guidance for Data & AI teams; maintain dashboards/documentation and ensure secure coding, data protection, and IAM controls are embedded in the SDLC.
•Collaborate with Business Security Officers and bridge Corporate Security with Data/AI product teams; work with engineering and architecture to improve security of code, data pipelines, cloud services, and AI solutions.
•Lead security governance for Data & AI work, including design/code reviews, threat modeling, third-party technology reviews, architecture diagram approvals, and vulnerability management support.
•Monitor emerging threats and best practices across data analytics and AI; drive standardization and automation of security controls and tooling to strengthen protection of sensitive data and ML models.

Key Requirements

•7–10 years of information security experience with hands-on secure software development and secure architecture/design; experience with cloud platforms, APIs, and distributed systems.
•Deep knowledge of security principles, risk management, data privacy for data analytics and AI solutions, and ability to advise on secure design across the product lifecycle.
•Proficiency in security standards and controls (ISO 27001, PCI-DSS, NIST SP 800-53, COBIT) and familiarity with secure coding, data protection, IAM controls, and SDLC embedding.
•Strong cryptography and network security experience (encryption, hashing, PKI/certificates, TLS/SSL, VPN, IPsec) and hands-on DevSecOps/CI-CD with security integrated into deployments.
•Ability to communicate effectively with technical and business audiences, build cross-functional relationships, and influence stakeholders in a fast-paced, global environment.
