Key Responsibilities

  • •Own contractor execution, schedule, and contracted-labor cost for tooling and infrastructure projects (steel structures, lifting/access equipment, production stations, and mechanical systems).
  • •Issue and manage purchase orders and construction contracts; manage shipments, on-site assembly/erection/install, activation/commissioning, and approve invoicing.
  • •Maintain a rolling 2-week look-ahead and provide daily updates on accomplishments, progress, and blockers while aligning installs with the facility critical path.
  • •Supervise technicians and contractors in the field and coordinate mechanical execution with engineering and other construction teams for required utility tie-ins.
  • •Use CAD (NX preferred) to sequence installs, validate field conditions/clearances, issue internal work packages for welding/toolmaking, and perform daily quality inspections with stop-work/escalation when needed.

Key Requirements

  • •2+ years managing external contractors on industrial or construction installs, including issuing POs/contracts and driving work through install, activation, and closeout.
  • •Ability to navigate CAD models (NX preferred) to sequence installs, check clearances, and verify field conditions against the model.
  • •High school diploma or equivalency certificate.
  • •Experience directing technicians and contractors without formal direct reports.
  • •Ability to plan and coordinate installs so production and construction do not block each other.
