Key Responsibilities

  • •Verify member insurance eligibility and benefits prior to service, including deductibles, copays, coinsurance, and out-of-pocket maximums.
  • •Submit clean electronic claims via EHR and clearinghouse platforms and ensure accurate CPT, ICD-10, and modifier coding.
  • •Monitor claim status in payer portals/clearinghouses to resolve rejections prior to adjudication and manage claims across multiple payers.
  • •Review denial queues, draft and submit appeals with supporting documentation, and escalate payer trends for contract/process improvements.
  • •Post EOBs/ERAs to patient accounts, reconcile payments, resolve under/overpayments and contractual adjustments, and handle member billing inquiries.

Key Requirements

  • •2+ years of experience in medical billing, revenue cycle, or insurance claims processing.
  • •Working knowledge of the full claims lifecycle: eligibility verification, claims submission, denial management, appeals, and payment posting.
  • •Proficiency reading and interpreting Explanations of Benefits (EOBs) and Electronic Remittance Advices (ERAs).
