Key Responsibilities

  • •Comply with all applicable safety rules and regulations while executing maintenance activities.
  • •Perform plant maintenance activities timely and safely, strictly following maintenance procedures and work instructions; document equipment maintenance concerns and history.
  • •Report spare parts and consumable requirements and support monitoring of spare availability to meet maintenance needs.
  • •Ensure proper equipment isolation before maintenance, coordinate with the Mechanical Supervisor and local operator, and carry out necessary preparations.
  • •Troubleshoot and diagnose equipment problems; install, adjust, inspect, service, and repair mechanical equipment; maintain 5S housekeeping standards.

Key Requirements

  • •4+ years of experience in the same position as a Mechanical Technician/Skilled Mechanical Labor in NOMAC plants OR equivalent extensive mechanical technician experience across conventional/combined cycle/cogeneration, water desalination (RO, MSF, MED) and/or renewable (solar, wind) plants.
  • •Diploma in Mechanical Engineering.
  • •Ability to follow safety rules and maintenance procedures while working independently and as part of a team.
  • •Knowledge and application of safe work practices (e.g., LOTO/Lockout-Tagout, fall protection, confined-space entry, PPE, forklift/hoist operations, welding/cutting/brazing).
  • •General awareness of Quality, OHS, and Environmental Management System principles, including waste identification, classification, disposal, and chemicals impacts.
