Job Summary

Monitor pipeline and process facility operations to improve efficiency, maximize revenue, and minimize OPEX. Build and apply hydraulic models, optimize crude heating and gas plant processes, and review utility rate structures. Lead energy projects and manage demand response/DRA programs, while coordinating with Control Center, Operations, and Accounting. Serve as an energy management SME and liaise with electric utilities to forecast usage and support expansion plans.

Key Responsibilities

•Monitor pipeline schedules, flow rates, crude qualities, and temperatures to provide operating guidance to Control Center.
•Prepare hydraulic models to optimize systems and account for utility rate structures and drag reducing agent (DRA).
•Optimize crude heating systems to improve thermal performance and minimize fuel usage.
•Provide engineering support for gas plant processes including compression, separation, stabilization, and vapor recovery systems.
•Review utility contracts/rate structures and manage energy projects, budgets, and demand response/DRA programs while coordinating with Control Center, Operations, Accounting, and electric utilities.

Key Requirements

•Bachelor’s degree in Engineering required (Mechanical or Chemical preferred).
•3+ years of experience in pipeline and/or process facility operations.
•Experience with midstream process equipment including crude heaters, heat exchangers, separators, stabilizers, compressors, and NGL recovery units.
•Experience with fluid hydraulics and hydraulic modeling, including use of hydraulic process modeling software.
•Strong communication skills and ability to multi-task and independently manage highly detailed work under changing deadlines.
