Key Responsibilities

  • •Perform a wide variety of foundry duties following standard procedures/work instructions, including transporting materials, castings, and equipment.
  • •Use grinding and hand power equipment to remove parting lines, gates, risers, flash, and other surface defects; adjust wheels/bits as required.
  • •Operate power equipment to cut sprues, gates, risers, and runners; operate bandsaw and related tasks.
  • •Set up and operate automatic molding machines and shot blast cleaning equipment; fill cavities, smooth surfaces, and sweep/polish as assigned.
  • •Patch surface imperfections within Q.C. standards, perform minor maintenance/cleaning, detect and report defective materials, and complete assigned training.
