Lead the operation, maintenance, and management of plant utility systems and the technicians who support them across multiple shifts. Set priorities and work schedules to meet facilities needs, ensure compliance with OSHA/EPA through Process Safety Management, and drive preventive maintenance, audits, and continuous improvement. Provide technical leadership across ammonia refrigeration, steam, compressed air, electrical, fire protection, hot water, and HVAC, using CMMS/SAP for work management and data entry.

Key Responsibilities

•Oversee proper operation, maintenance, and management of all plant utility systems and assigned department personnel.
•Provide frontline supervision across 4+ technician shifts, setting schedules and priorities to meet facilities needs.
•Maintain OSHA/EPA compliance through Process Safety Management and demonstrate thorough involvement in PSM.
•Use CMMS/SAP for work management and data entry; support preventative maintenance and repairs for utility systems.
•Lead onboarding, training, and development of utility technicians, and assist with audits/PM reviews and follow-up completion.

Travel: Low travel

Salary: USD 100,000 - 125,000 annually

Key Requirements

•5+ years of experience in a mechanical/refrigeration-related field with in-depth ammonia refrigeration knowledge and refrigeration theory/operations.
•Experience with utility systems such as water, steam, pneumatics, fire protection, and HVAC, with training in industrial refrigeration preferred.
•Have experience with CMMS/CCMS systems and strong written and oral communication skills; able to work independently and be results oriented.
•Prefer experience in the food processing and packaging industry, and successful completion (or ability to achieve) technical training in industrial refrigeration.
•Must reside in the United States.
