Key Responsibilities

  • •Assist in lessons within the framework set by the assigned teacher and Head of Inclusion/SENCO, providing feedback to named students and colleagues on learning and behaviour.
  • •Supervise and facilitate individual support for named students, including meeting IEP/pupil passport targets and ensuring safety and access to learning activities.
  • •Provide informal feedback to named students on progress and achievement under guidance of the teacher.
  • •Record and share with the teacher, colleagues, and supporting professionals issues of concern and positive feedback regarding students’ welfare and achievements.
  • •Communicate effectively with parents via emails and reports based on IEP/pupil passport targets and outcomes, and maintain relevant documentation.

Key Requirements

  • •Minimum high school education in English and Maths.
  • •Experience or aptitude working with students with special educational needs.
  • •Previous teaching or teaching assistant experience preferred.
  • •Good written and spoken English.
  • •Enthusiasm, commitment, and aptitude for working with students; able to work well as part of a team while maintaining confidentiality and empathy.
