Key Responsibilities

  • •Brief Tony Blair, senior TBI leadership, public-sector principals, and corporate clients on geopolitical developments across China and the Asia Pacific with clear decision and risk implications.
  • •Produce intelligence briefings and client-ready deliverables for China and APAC using written analysis and data-led insights.
  • •Assess second- and third-order implications of political, security, trade, sanctions, technology, election, and foreign-policy developments for governments and businesses.
  • •Develop distinctive insights on how geopolitical risks affect strategy, supply chains, market exposure, investment decisions, regulation, and operations.
  • •Use quantitative and qualitative methods (including forecasting, scenario analysis, market data analysis, Excel, and AI tools) to strengthen geopolitical analysis, and represent TBI in external engagements, including some travel.

Key Requirements

  • •5-7 years of relevant professional experience in geopolitical risk, corporate intelligence, political advisory, intelligence, consulting, government, think tanks, or similar.
  • •Advanced degree in a relevant field (e.g., Asian studies, international affairs, economics, or political science) or equivalent practical experience.
  • •Demonstrated expertise in Chinese and/or Asian geopolitics with a publication record, prior roles, or equivalent body of work.
  • •Advanced proficiency in Mandarin (especially reading) and the ability to work with Chinese-language primary sources.
  • •Strong analytical capability and senior-facing communication skills to brief public principals and C-suite clients with clarity and judgement.
