Key Responsibilities

  • •Perform preventive maintenance and repairs and conduct DOT inspections with little or no supervision.
  • •Complete repair documentation and upload photos of work, parts used, and findings on Repair Orders (RO) using the company iOS device and proprietary TRAIT application.
  • •Diagnose and troubleshoot electrical components and trailer equipment/systems including trailer brakes, air lines, auxiliary pumps and engines, liftgates, and brake chambers.
  • •Independently manage parts inventory and equipment on the company-issued service truck; reconcile as needed.
  • •Operate the service vehicle safely, maintain it, perform safety checks and pre-/post-trip inspections, and respond to call-center dispatched unscheduled service requests.

Key Requirements

  • •High school diploma/GED plus 3 years of related trailer experience (or equivalent combination including 5 years related experience).
  • •Possess and supply a set of hand tools necessary for the role.
  • •Participate in and complete all company required training.
  • •Pass DOT-regulated pre-employment background screening and DOT physical; submit a current DOT medical card when applicable.
  • •Valid Class CDL C and driver’s license; must be at least 21 years old and maintain a Driver Qualification File.
