Key Responsibilities

  • •Troubleshoot electrical and mechanical problems on production and utility equipment and apply RCA techniques to prevent repeat issues.
  • •Perform maintenance tasks per work orders and documented service procedures, repairs, and modifications according to standards.
  • •Document all maintenance tasks accurately and timely in CWORKS.
  • •Troubleshoot defective equipment, isolate causes, and execute repairs; fabricate repair parts using machine shop instrumentation.
  • •Execute preventive, daily checklist, and predictive maintenance; complete preventive maintenance requirements and support SPS activities while following HSE policies.

Key Requirements

  • •Participate in and meet all plant safety requirements.
  • •Proficient with precision measuring equipment (e.g., dial indicators, micrometers, calipers) to .0001 of an inch.
  • •Must pass Sonoco Category 2 Electrical requirements and certification.
  • •Experience with electrical components (including 440/480v) and electrical/electronic diagnostic instruments.
  • •Two-year technical degree or accredited apprenticeship program in a technical field (or equivalent).
