Key Responsibilities

  • •Develop first-principles cost estimates for water and wastewater infrastructure projects including treatment plants, pump stations, pipelines, reservoirs, and related civil, mechanical, and electrical works.
  • •Quantify from design information and collaborate with engineers to ensure precision.
  • •Build and maintain estimating models for complex water sector projects, incorporating construction methodologies, staging, and delivery risks.
  • •Validate quantities and pricing from suppliers and contractors, including sourcing and reviewing quotations and negotiating competitive pricing.
  • •Prepare detailed reports and present cost estimates and risk assessments to stakeholders throughout the project lifecycle.

Key Requirements

  • •5-10+ years’ industry experience, ideally in water utilities and related sectors.
  • •Strong electrical estimating knowledge including LV/HV cabling, switchgear, transformers, SCADA, and VSDs.
  • •A relevant tertiary qualification in Quantity Surveying, Construction Economics, Engineering, or similar.
  • •Advanced Excel and PowerPoint skills; Power BI and CSS Candy/Quantum experience advantageous.
  • •Consultancy experience and contractor-side knowledge, with excellent analytical and communication skills.
