Job Summary

Own day-to-day operation and continuous improvement of enterprise storage, backup/recovery, and hybrid cloud infrastructure for the Data Management team. Monitor alerts, troubleshoot complex storage and data protection issues, and administer storage arrays, backup platforms, and fiber channel SAN connectivity. Design and roadmap storage/data protection architectures across on-prem and hybrid cloud, build automation and infrastructure-as-code with Bash/Python/Terraform, and ensure immutable/WORM ransomware-resilient protection and reliable restore validation.

Key Responsibilities

•Provide strategic input to project plans, schedules, and operational methodologies for maintaining, optimizing, and evolving enterprise storage, backup/recovery, and hybrid cloud environments.
•Monitor system management alerts and promptly respond to storage, backup, infrastructure, and data protection exceptions to ensure high availability and minimal business impact.
•Diagnose complex storage and data protection problems using logs, traces, and performance metrics (I/O, latency, throughput) plus advanced diagnostic tools.
•Administer enterprise storage arrays and backup/recovery solutions, including provisioning, volume/LUN management, replication, snapshots, tiering, policy design, job scheduling, monitoring, and restore testing.
•Design and roadmap storage, backup, and hybrid cloud architectures; implement immutable/WORM and object-lock strategies to protect data against ransomware, and build automation/IaC to reduce manual effort.

Pay and Benefits

Salary: USD 71,600 - 119,400

Key Requirements

•Systems engineering experience with hands-on enterprise storage array administration, backup/recovery solutions, automation, and hybrid cloud infrastructure.
•BS in Engineering, Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field; or equivalent professional experience.
•Expertise administering enterprise storage arrays (Dell Unity/PowerStore/PowerScale or equivalent) and backup/recovery platforms (Dell Avamar/Commvault and cloud-native services) with restore validation.
•Strong automation and infrastructure-as-code skills using Bash, Python, Terraform, and Ansible (or equivalents).
•Experience designing and supporting hybrid cloud storage/backup on Microsoft Azure and AWS, including immutable/WORM and ransomware-resilient data protection strategies.
