Job Summary

Lead environmental testing programs in an on-site Tucson, AZ environment. Design, execute, and analyze vibration, climatic, and structural tests for DoD-related aerospace products, developing test plans and fixtures while coordinating with internal customers to ensure compliance with requirements and schedules.

Key Responsibilities

•Consult and provide testing guidance to internal program customers to verify proposed testing meets requirements.
•Write test plans and procedures, review others’ plans, and create schedules and budgets for testing.
•Oversee and personally conduct environmental testing to validate models for qualification, production acceptance, flight test clearance, engineering evaluations, and failure investigations.
•Implement engineering best practices to ensure testing is performed accurately, on schedule, and within budget.
•Analyze test data in real time and post-test to verify requirements are met and communicate status to ET leadership and internal customers.

Key Requirements

•Bachelor's degree or higher in Science, Technology, Engineering, or Mathematics (STEM) and a minimum of 8 years of engineering experience.
•Experience with environmental test vibration shaker systems and instrumentation (accelerometers, thermocouples, strain gauges, load cells) and data acquisition systems (Dewetron, DeweSoft, LabView, Agilent/Keysight, Benchlink, Somat, etc.).
•Preferred majors include Electrical, Aerospace, or Mechanical engineering.
•Experience with commercial environmental test equipment including vibration test systems and thermal chambers.
•Experience with vibration control systems and software; solid modeling and analysis software.
