Key Responsibilities

  • •Develop tailored user experiences using LLMs, agentic development, RAG, knowledge graphs, personalization, and predictive analysis.
  • •Collaborate with other engineers to deliver AI solutions across Workday’s product ecosystem using software and data engineering for AI pipelines.
  • •Train, deploy, and manage the lifecycle of AI pipelines and build new products at scale using Workday computing resources on rich datasets.
  • •Apply continuous improvement with a focus on quality, scale, and security, challenging decisions that don’t fit product needs.
  • •Own production-readiness aspects such as observability/monitoring, experimentation/feature flags, and performance optimization.

Key Requirements

  • •8+ years of professional software engineering experience shipping and maintaining production code at scale.
  • •3+ years integrating large models (LLMs/foundation models) and modern AI APIs into user-facing enterprise products.
  • •2+ years building AI workflows using orchestration frameworks such as LangChain or LlamaIndex, including prompt engineering, agentic development, RAG, and knowledge graphs.
  • •4+ years optimizing performance constraints like API latency, token management, and user interaction design.
  • •Experience with cloud platforms (AWS, GCP) to deploy responsive, scalable systems.
