Job Summary

Develop robust powder and liquid painting manufacturing processes for regular operations, NPD programs, and productivity initiatives in Monterrey/Apodaca. Define process parameters, approval protocols, runoffs, and installation requirements while meeting safety, cost, quality, and schedule goals. Lead advanced problem solving using 6-Sigma, DOE, A3, 9-step, and 5-why, and improve painting operations for Screw and Scroll processes with monitoring, inspection protocols, and EHS scorecard follow-up.

Key Responsibilities

•Develop and improve painting processes (powder coating and liquid) to meet process control/capability, quality, cost, and implementation schedules.
•Define process parameters, specifications, approval protocols, runoff, and installation requirements for NPDs and related capital equipment.
•Use structured problem-solving (6-Sigma, DOE, A3, 9-step, 5-why) to identify root causes and drive improvements.
•Design/select equipment and processes, define inspection protocols, and develop process monitoring and support engineering for finishing requirements.
•Measure and improve SQDIP indicators, maintain Control Plans/PFMEAs/JSAs, follow EHS scorecard metrics, and support Opex initiatives.

Key Requirements

•Mechanical/Industrial/Mechatronic BSc degree (preferred MSc in Materials, Mechanical Engineering, Product Engineering, Quality or similar).
•10+ years of experience in powder painting and liquid paint processes.
•Apply process control and capability while meeting safety requirements.
•Define process parameters/specifications and establish approval protocols, runoffs, and installation requirements for NPDs and capital equipment.
•Mentor the operations team and provide team/project management with strong communication skills.
