Conduct cutting-edge research in computer vision and machine learning to improve TikTok’s core feed recommendation. Translate research into product-ready technologies through successful technology transfers, and help incubate new product ideas powered by computer vision and ML. Work alongside world-class researchers and engineers, with opportunities for academic collaboration, publishing at top conferences, giving talks, and mentoring emerging talent.

•Conduct cutting-edge research in computer vision and machine learning.
•Drive successful technology transfers from research into TikTok products.
•Incubate new products using computer vision and machine learning technologies.

Key Requirements

•Ph.D. in Computer Science, Machine Learning, Artificial Intelligence, or a related technical field.
•Research experience in areas such as image/video search, classification/understanding, object detection, segmentation, tracking, scene understanding, facial analysis, pose/gesture recognition, or 3D vision.
•Strong skills in algorithms and programming.
•Ability to work effectively independently and collaboratively.
•Experience winning in competitive programming (e.g., ACM ICPC, IOI/NOI, TopCoder, Kaggle) and/or publishing in top-tier CV/AI conferences (e.g., CVPR, ICCV, NeurIPS, ICML).
