Job Summary

Own end-to-end electronics design for field-deployable drone launcher hardware in the Launcher module. You’ll create mixed-signal and power schematics, lead PCB layout and routing, and define power, thermal, EMC, and safety architectures for outdoor operation. Collaborate with embedded software and mechanical teams, run hardware bring-up and debug, optimize BOMs for cost and manufacturability, and support DFM/DFA and manufacturing ramp-up to production milestones.
Location: Paris
Workplace: Onsite
Employment Type: Full time
Job Function: Hardware, Embedded & Systems Engineering
Seniority: Mid level

Key Responsibilities

  • •Design complete mixed-signal and power electronics schematics for the launcher boards.
  • •Lead PCB placement/routing with attention to signal integrity, EMC, and power-path constraints.
  • •Define and validate power and thermal architecture, including battery temperature management.
  • •Perform hardware bring-up and debug using oscilloscopes and power bench equipment; support firmware bring-up via SW interfaces.
  • •Drive DFM/DFA and manufacturing ramp-up: supplier qualification, NPI transitions, BOM optimization for mass production, and maintain hardware documentation.

Key Requirements

  • •Designed and shipped complex PCBs into production, ideally mixing digital and high-power electronics (hundreds of watts).
  • •Strong rigor in schematic capture, PCB layout/routing, and bring-up/debug using bench equipment.
  • •Experience with power electronics design including DC/DC conversion, protection, derating, efficiency, and thermal budgeting.
  • •Ability to design for environmental robustness (temperature, moisture, surges) and interest in battery thermal management.
  • •Familiarity with mixed-signal interfaces and communication buses, plus DFM/DFA and component/BOM management (Altium Designer preferred).
