Job Summary

Join the culinary team at One&Only The Palm in Dubai and support the Chef de Cuisine in running the kitchen to the highest standards. You’ll maintain quality and presentation, enforce hygiene and sanitation, ensure mise en place and product readiness, oversee food cost and labeling, and coordinate closely with the F&B department while supervising and motivating kitchen staff to deliver exceptional guest service.

Key Responsibilities

•Assist the Chef de Cuisine by leading, managing, and organizing kitchen requirements according to standard operating procedures.
•Ensure proper hygiene and sanitation, adequate food supply stocks, and strong inter-department coordination and training.
•Maintain highest quality in kitchen production and presentation, including correct mise en place prior to service.
•Maintain resort food cost, ensure products are within date and properly labeled, and oversee equipment inventory and cleanliness.
•Supervise kitchen subordinates by training, motivating, directing, and delegating tasks, including handling guest complaints per service recovery and resort policies.

Key Requirements

•Assist the Chef de Cuisine and help lead the kitchen operations to highest standards in line with the standard operating procedures.
•Minimum 2–3 years’ experience in an upscale 5* hotel/resort environment.
•Strong culinary knowledge; preferably with a strong authentic Italian cuisine background.
•Excellent personal and interpersonal skills, flexible and dynamic team player; ability to build strong relationships with diverse, high-profile clientele.
•Excellent communication in English; an additional language is highly regarded.
